Diamant - Prüfgänge

Several tests are
performed before a diamond is released onto the market as part of our Excellence Collection. These are the qualities that we require in order to award each diamond our certificate of Excellence.

Diamond Jewelery – “Excellence” Created for Eternity

Feel as precious as the jewels you are wearing

Throughout the centuries men and women have adorned themselves with jewellery. Sometimes it served a functional purpose, sometimes it symbolised power or status. But mostly jewellery was worn for purely aesthetic reasons. Jewellery enhances our clothes, the stones and precious metals reflect and refract in the light and the power and personality of the wearer is immediately visible. Jewellery gives us a sense of our own individuality and identity.

The fine diamonds in our Excellence Collection reflect and refract to create that magical fire that only the finest diamond possesses. Our promise to you is that these rare and wonderful jewels will make you stand out from the crowd.

Beauty in a diamond is not just a simple matter of individual taste and style, but an objective set of criteria by which that stone is measured. Not only the carat weight of the stone is important – the larger the diamond, the rarer and therefore the more valuable it becomes. The fine white or colourless stone with the few inclusions to prevent the light from reflecting and refracting off the facets, and the angle of the cut of each facet and angle, are the criteria by which we judge whether the stone is fine enough to be awarded our certificate of Excellence. Each diamond is considered individually – and many are rejected as they fail to meet the high standard of our Excellence Collection.

Most stones contain hints of yellow or brown colour. The finest and the rarest stones show no colour and are considered the most valuable.

Pure Perfect White and the Finest Cut - our Standard of Excellence

White is the colour of purity and innocence. Our choice of fine white diamonds ensures that we will wear stones with fire, life and charisma – those stones that will make us stand out from the crowd – whilst still preserving our purity and innocence. The challenge for us at Rivoir is to enhance the perfection in a piece of jewellery. This is a challenge we love to meet!

Our diamonds are pure in the truest sense of the word. They have no inclusions visible to the naked eye – no cracks or imperfections. Even under careful scrutiny using a loupe, imperfections are hard to find. Rivoir uses the top three classifications for their diamonds – IF (internally flawless), VVS (very, very small inclusions) or VS (very small inclusions).

The fire of a diamond is only seen in the finest stones and Rivoir offer their customers the finest colour diamonds with very small or no inclusions and an excellent cut.
